Arnold Packaging, the regional leader in packaging and productivity solutions for some of the country’s best-known brands, announced today three strategic hiring moves to help support the growing company’s future goals and continued emphasis on automation. James Shenton has been hired as an outside sales representative and existing employee Brittany Abbott was promoted to inside sales manager.
Shenton brings 20 years of diverse technical sales experience, with extensive knowledge in providing IT solutions sales that include hardware, software, professional services, staffing and training. In his new role, he will act as the link between clients and Arnold Packaging’s automation team to ensure an exceptional design and deployment process. His previous role was as technology consultant for Decisive Data Systems in Belcamp, Md.
“James’ background makes him the perfect fit for this position,” says Arnold Packaging President, Mick Arnold. “The options for automation are becoming increasingly popular for a huge range of companies- both large and small. James brings an analytical approach and high attention to detail that allows us to design unique productivity solutions that work with each client’s size, budget, and specialty.”
Abbott has been with Arnold Packaging since 2012, most recently serving as a key account representative and marketing assistant, giving her in-depth knowledge of the company’s products and culture. As inside sales manager, she will direct two different teams: customer service to support outside sales representatives, and a traditional inside sales group that focuses on smaller end users, while liaising between customers and Arnold Packaging’s designers and engineers.
To support the company’s growth and exposure in markets across the mid-Atlantic and special project in California, Annie Sachs will join the 87-year old business as the new marketing coordinator. A recent graduate of Towson University, Sachs will help coordinate digital content, public relations and email marketing along with Arnold Packaging’s Agency of Record, Vitamin. She will also support events and private label initiatives.
“Throughout our history, we’ve always looked for ways to innovate and evolve,” adds Arnold. “James, Brittany, and Annie each bring a skillset that helps us support our clients more effectively, with greater efficiency, and provide exceptional opportunities to boost profitability and productivity. Manufacturing is changing and we’re excited to help each of our clients not only adapt to those changes but thrive in the marketplace.”
